I'M NOT YOUR NIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR, CAN'T GRANT YOUR EVERY WISH
CHARACTER NAME DISLIKES oatmeal cookies, the smell of whiskey or any other hard liquer, hangovers, having to put sunscreen on herself, murky water, any deep water for which she cannot see the bottom, crocodiles, little dogs {usually the ones that bark at anything}, watching someone cut down a tree, roadkill {she believes that someday it will break her heart}, watching old people behind the wheel of a vehicle {she is convinced that they are all suicides on wheels}.
GOALS to perfect her photography, to find love, to get into college once she decides where to go, and to remain friends with her brother's wife {she doesn't yet have a name}.
FEARS becoming like her sisters and their mother, as well as being eaten alive by a crocodile {she watched a horror film about a crocodile that grew up in the sewers of a city and ate anyone that dared enter them. she's had nightmares and a sort of phobia ever since}.
SECRETS she wishes that she got along with her sisters, and she feels more lonely than she will ever let on.
WEAKNESSES kittens, the newest camera on the market, and if she were to be in love with a boy.
STRENGHTS she is strong artistically, Adelaise is a good listener, and she is very good at keeping secrets.
BEST MEMORY "When I got my first camera on my thirteenth birthday. I remember having begged mom and dad for one for the longest time. They did not disapoint, it was the best type of camera out there! And I remember running around the house with it around my neck, taking pictures. The other sure were annoyed with me, haha, especially when i would peek through the bathroom door, the camera fixed to my eye. I think they still hate me for those embarassing pictures I took!"
WORST MEMORY "Hmmm, let me think. I can't really think of anything horrible, like a memory in which i got hurt or someone I knew died. But I do remember, quite some time after watching that stupid movie about the crocodile that'd grown up in the sewers of some city, I was always scared to sit on the toiiled because I thought it would come out and bite me! Stupid, I know, but I was terrified. I used to go for a very very long time with a full bladder. It was kind of painful from what I recall!"

OVERALL HISTORY Adelaise was the last of the Fairchild "clan" to be brought into the world, when their mother was still at a young age {twenty-one}. She lived a life of luxury and glamour, as any wealthy child in New Orleans would. Thankfully however, her parents kept from spoiling her. Like most middle class children {or even those of lower class}, she had to earn the things she wanted. This was a good life lesson for the little girl to learn early.
When she was around the age of twelve to thirteen, Adelaise first developed her love for photography. Since she was a toddler, she'd had a liking for art, books, poetry. Her relationship with her siblings was overall stable when she was in grade school. However, once she entered high school, things became more and more tense, especially with the sister who was just a year older than herself. Out of the two twin brothers, she liked the younger one better, and although she loved the older twin, she didn't care enough to get involved in his affairs.
The older she got, the more distanced she became. In high school her courses centered around the arts, such as figure drawing, photography, creative writing, and the like. Her grades were above average in all her other courses, but she didn't much care for academics. When she graduated, Adelaise hadn't yet decided if photography was really what she wanted to go for in college. So she decided to wait a year and then decide.
Since her Sophomore year, Adelaise has been doing some professional photography. Mainly for some of the events run by her mother, however by the time she graduated from high school, she'd become quite good. So she makes her own money off freelance photography. Although she isn't the type to be obsessed with pricey clothes and jewellery or her mothers social planning and parties, if asked, Adelaise will be present, right at her mother's side.
Throught her eighteen years of life, Adelaise has had her share of boyfriends. But she's not the type to throw herself at every pretty boy, as she believes her sisters to be}, therefore she hasn't had quite as many relationships as is typical of a girl of her looks, social standing, and wealth.
When the younger of her twin brothers got married, Adelaise was angry, she was under the impression that he'd married a girl just like their other sisters, and therefore she'd have another one of them to deal with. However, her sister in law turned out different. In no time at all, the two became really close. Now she likes the girl more than the eldest brother or either of her sisters.[/ul]
SHININ' WITH THE GLEAM CHAIN

[image] ircea. He was all that mattered in this situation. Elena brought her eyes back to his face as he spoke, and she felt hope rise in her chest. If they could just get out of the cold she could take a closer look at his wound. Arnica! The yellow flower was native to this region, and she'd caught sight of it a few times during the warmer seasons. Would there be any left?
Elana put an arm around Mircea's waist as he pushed himself to his feet, wincing at the thought of how much pain he was in. She simply couldn't bare knowing he was hurt. So her decision was made. Once they'd found shelter, she would make sure he was safe and warm, then she would go out and search for the Arnica until nightfall.
Her head tilted up and she tried to study the sky, tried to see how many hours of daylight she had left. It was hard to tell with the constantly falling snow, and the sun being shrouded in dark clouds. About an hour, that is all the time she was given. Elena sighed and quickly lowered her head, watching where she was stepping. It wouldn't do them any good if she were to fall and twist her ankle, or much worse, break it.
Elena had unconsciously taken Philippe's reigns when they'd started moving, and she led the tired horse along behind them as they made their way through the forest. She dearly hoped Mircea's sense of direction wasn't too hindered by the snow. 'There!' She followed his gaze and sighed in relief when she saw the cave's entrance. Elena stayed close to her husband as they made their way toward the cave, pressing close but not too close, she didn't want to bring him more pain than he was already in.
The horses were led inside, then Mircea, then herself. She scanned the woods around them, trying to catch sight of any danger, then quickly hurried inside and out of the snow. The large snowflakes had clung to their hair and clothes, and now that they were in a slightly warmer place they melted. Her cloak was soon soaked, along with her long brown hair. She watched Mircea sit, soon accompanied by the wounded Zane. Elena would need to find more of the herb than she'd bargained for. But first she had to make sure he was warm. Without hesitation she went to Philippe, took off his saddle, then the thick blanket they'd used to keep the tough leather from digging into the horse's back. She strode to Mircea and laid the blanket on him, covering him from foot to chest. The princess then went and did the same with Zane, draping the second blanket over her husband. She sighed and knelt by him, "Don't apologize for anything, love." Elena placed a hand to his cheek then leaned in and gave him a kiss.
Then before she could change her mind, Elana pulled up the hood of her cloak, shrouding her face in shadows, "Do not move from this spot. I will be back." She turned on her heel and walked out of the cave before he could stand and go after her. The sooner she began her search the sooner she could help her husband get well.
