BEST MEMORY My best memory? I don't really have one...Well, if you insist, I'd say that it was the time I broke my arm climbing up in a tree with my twin brother. It wasn't the fact I broke my arm that made me happy, but the fact that I had something that my twin brother didn't and...the way my mom took care of me during that time. That, is something I will always remember about her. The way she smelled, the way she looked. My six year old self couldn't have been happier.
WORST MEMORY
Where do I begin? My parents and identical twin brother being chopped into pieces right before my eyes? The fact that I was adopted by the James' who totally hate me? What do you really want to know? My life is just one big bad memory, why do you think I'm a twenty-year-old alcoholic? Not because it's good for me, that's for sure.
OVERALL PERSONALITY
▪ PROTECTIVELY LOYAL; Danny will protect anyone he calls a friend, he will not hesitate to help you if truly needed.
▪ CARING; Danny has a big heart and tries his best to care about everyone, this is something some people don't see because well, they think he's just an arrogant asshole drunk.
▪ SENSITIVE; Due to events in his younger days, Danny is very sensitive about talking about it. Not only that, he has trouble opening himself up about his feelings and possibly won't unless you've known him a long, long time.
▪ SHY; Danny doesn't talk much, even when he's drunk. Anyone who knows Danny's past, would probably say that was the reason why.
▪ INTELLIGENT; Just because he's a drunk, does not mean Danny is stupid. When he was in school, he usually topped out above everyone else. That's why it's hard for many to believe what he has become.
▪ LOVING; This could be also be called caring, but it isn't. He adores people, especially little kids and, after he has learned to trust you, Danny can be a very loving man.
▪ ANGRY; Danny does not have a short-circuited temper by any means, but that doesn't mean he can't get violent. It just takes him a while to get into that state, to push him to the point of no return. Once you piss this guy off, you better watch yourself around him.
▪ SARCASTIC; Danny is known to be quick with his tongue, mostly when under the influence of alcohol. Most of the time when he's sarcastic, he doesn't a word that comes out of his mouth. So, take whatever he says about you lightly.
▪ DRUNK; This, can be the fun Danny if you know how to handle him. Keep him happy, he'll be the funniest guy around. Isolate him, and he'll start blabbering about nothing, which could in turn be funny as well.
▪ REPRESSED; This is a Freudian term, sure, but very affective in describing this guy. He doesn't talk about his past, ever. He doesn't want pity and doesn't go poor mouthing to get attention. Anyone who does that, is a sorry SOB in his eyes.[/ul]

OVERALL HISTORY
Danny Alexander James, was born Daniel Alexander Jenkins on May 22nd to the parents of Jeremy and Leslie Jenkins. He was the first born of identical twin boys and the Jenkins couple could not have been happier. The two doted over their two boys every chance they got and were the most loving parents anyone knew. The Jenkins boys were lucky to have them. They walked and talked on time, even a bit early if their parents wanted to brag. The twins took care of each other and looked out for another. It was always that way for the two identical boys until the age of seven.
On August 29th, two men burst into the Jenkins home. Jeremy grabbed his boys and made a run for it, his wife not too far behind him. He stored his two sons in a small room under the floorboards, the twins' playroom. Walking away from said door, Jeremy was shot three times in the chest, blood instantly began to drain from the wounds. Leslie screamed and was shot twice in the neck before the sounds and smells of a chainsaw filled the air. The second man had his own weapon of choice. Unknowing of the two boys watching, the second man place the saw against Jeremy and flipped the switch. Everything was a blur, a red blur, as little Danny fought to keep his twin brother quiet and still. Moments later, little Jimmy slipped from his older brother's grasp and banged his way out of the playroom where he had been safely hiding. He screamed for his mom and dad upon seeing the horror up close.
Danny watched as his identical twin brother was shot in the head, at close range. He remained silent as he watched the horror unfold, the blood dripping into the cracks of the door and falling onto his skin. Forever dying it red, blood red. The little boy shook with fear and shock, he didn't speak a word for days. Finally, someone, a family friend, came by and found the home. Bloodied and destroyed, pieces of his good friends everywhere. One child dead, another below the floor, covered in the sticky red fluid of what used to be his family. He turned the young boy over to the proper authorities, just days before he offed himself. The sight had been too much for the grown man and not even the child could keep him going. Young Daniel Alexander Jenkins was put into the foster care system to be bounced around from home to home for a year and a half.
At the tender age of nine, Daniel Alexander Jenkins became Danny Alexander James. He was adopted by Patrick and Pamela James on July 17th, becoming their second son, the brother of biological child child Tyler Patrick James. The older boy, at ten, took a liking to his foster brother almost instantly. The two bonded but deep down, Danny knew that no one would ever replace his identical twin brother, gunned down right in front of his eyes. It wasn't much later, that all hell broke loose and the James' true colors showed. Pamela, was a whore, not an innocent in this case. She trailed guys in and out of her home as if it were her job, or maybe it had been, like Danny actually paid attention. Patrick was a cop, a diry cop however. He sold people out on daily basis and was a disgrace to the badge. Not only that, but he beat Danny, sober or not. Of course, Tyler look some licks too, but only if he was protecting his foster brother.
At the age of ten, the James' moved from their home in Newport, Kentucky in order to start over in New Orleans, Louisiana where the beatings still continued without a care. Danny grew up in this enviroment until the age of sixteen, when he ran away from home and the personal hell he'd lived in for so long. He lived on the streets and thrived in bars, using a fake ID that no one ever questioned him about. The scars, must have made him appear older than he actually was. He tried hard to keep in contact with his brother Tyler, but was never sure when Tyler's parents were nearby. There was no way he was getting caught, his freedom was too crucial. The bars are his home and alcohol is his friend, he needs that one girl who will draw him away from all of that and to make him forget about his past, to actually care about him and show him what love means again. Wes felt...better. Like there was a giant weight that had been lifted from his chest. Everything was out. Everything he had harbored inside of himself for so long had been said and now Olivia knew. He had answered her question. The question about him becoming a jerk. It had been answered and he felt better about it all, much better. Of course, just telling her wouldn't change the fact that he had been a jerk, had shoved her away, had shoved everyone else away. It also would not change the fact that he had been in trouble witht he law before, been brought home in handcuffs late at night, become an embarressment to his grandparents at a young age. Nothing would change the fact that he looked like his dad or even the fact that the guy was dead. That his mom was dead. That he had been in foster care for a year and half. And, he knew that. Wesley James Jefferson didn't expect anything different from just opening his mouth and opening the wounds he had so carefully closed years ago.
He heard Olivia say that normal girls would be tearing up as they hung on to every word but she wasn't normal. Wes grinned slightly at that comment, "Certainly not." She mentioned that it had been stupid of her to even ask that question and then thanked him for telling her everything. Wes nodded but made no comment about both the question and her thanking him. What was there to say but it was not stupid and...you're welcome. He looked at her for a long moment as he sorted things out in his own mind and locked everything down again. His icy blue eyes that had been storming with pain and sadness moments ago, cleared up and just became that stark blue again that looked calm and collected. As if Wes was in control of everything inside and outside of him.
After a few moments, Olivia commented saying that he had told her story and asked him what he wanted to know about her. Wesley thought for a moment before shaking his head slightly, "I don't have anything to ask really. Tell me whatever you want me to know as I did for you." he said with a small shrug as he looked into her face, "I'm not going to require that you tell me anything. I don't expect you to sit here and tell me much of anything. I'm a stranger really. We haven't spoken in years and yet here I am spilling myself out to you." Wes sighed slightly as he let out a shaky breath. He thought for a few moments and instantly felt stupid, felt like he needed to throw up all of his shields and close down completely. Shut down and shove her away again. To him, it would be safer for them both. Sighing once again, Wes looked away from her as he mumbled, "I wouldn't even be surprised if you left." Wes didn't intend for Olivia to hear that but if she just happened to, he hoped that she would know that he didn't mean it. He knew she would probably be the only one who wouldn't leave him. He hoped he hadn't hurt her feelings if she had heard him. But...that was what he was best at so it wouldn't be surprising at all.
